This Friday, our classroom transformed into a cafe. On the menu were five different chapter books for the students to “taste”. Throughout their meal, students made observations about the books, watched book trailers, and read through the first few pages of each book. The room became filled with conversations about the books and excitement to begin reading. The students walked away with some new book choices for their next visit to the library. Listed below are the books that were on the menu.
